Last garden push.... It's nearly finished so no pictures yet but it's been a big final push to get the garden finished this week and we now have both turf and decking done thanks to all Adrian and Alistair's hard work! (pic below is the boys playing with their tools - "just like Daddy and Alistair")

I had a lovely Saturday morning at a multiple birth girls morning called "What to wear when you've had two babies" and it was brilliant with a very clever lady showing us lots of tricks to look less frumpy and mummsy and I had a great time but it does mean I'm going to have to throw away all my clothes and start again!! While I was there Adrian had a lovely morning with the boys on the waterfront and at the park and we all met for lunch in Cuba Street. That afternoon we headed to my Great Aunty Joan's for afternoon tea and she is now the boys best friend after giving them their first magnum icecream - "it's got a chocolate crust mummy!"

Sunday we headed over to play with Aeneas and Leo while Adrian finished the decking and it was another beautiful sunny day with lots of running around, shouting and falling over outside. Then home so we could all have an afternoon nap before Adrian did more in the garden and we headed to Ben's house for a jump on their neighbours trampoline.

Cute stories for the week, Adrian took the boys to Animates which is a huge pet shop, Jack came running up to him and said "Daddy, Tom's licking the dog's balls", Adrian was horrified and run off to find him licking the dogs "Toy" balls on the shelf.....phew.

Jack is getting to be very sure of himself at the moment and when we were at the Supermarket this week he said "mummy can we have those different mushrooms instead this week cos I'm really sick of those other ones"....right then!

This weekend we had a visit from the lovely Ware family and the boys were so excited to see "Charlie and Robert" again, they spent all day Saturday asking when they were coming. They arrived at dinner time on St Patricks night and the boys all ran around the house like crazy idiots! We had a big roast dinner and then once the boys were asleep celebrated St Paddy's day in true Irish style and drank the house dry.......it was a lot of fun. The next morning was really wet and stormy so we all headed off to Te Papa (but forgot it was Day Light Savings time and had to go for a coffee to wait for it to open an hour later!). We had a great morning in the museum and when we came out it was suddenly hot and sunny again. We headed off for lunch on the waterfront in the place that some of you know as Kaz and Paul's wedding reception restaurant and the boys were especially happy with the icereams for desert. When we came out we had a great run on the beach where all the (younger) boys stripped off and had a paddle and a good run around on the sand. We then headed up Mt Victoria to the lookout so they could see all of Wellington in it's glory in the sunshine before heading home where the boys played so nicely and we had a lovely afternoon.

Adrian and Richard headed off that night for a beer in town and to bring back some curry from Great India (some of you will remember that place!) and needless to say our curry was a little late getting back! I headed off to bed but all the others including Olga and her friend Carmen managed another good night with lots of singing by Olga and Carmen and Richard and lots of raucous laughter.

The boys were so sad to say goodbye to Charlie and Robert on Monday morning as they headed off to the ferry and have been talking about them ever since. Thanks heaps to the Wares for a fabulous visit and raising such fabulously patient boys!

Swinging just a bit like daddy!

This week I headed down to Christchurch to say a last farewell to Win (my stepfather) as he is having his last days in a hospice down there so it was a sad visit but lots of laughs and reminiscing. Adrian and the boys had a great time while I was away. One of their jobs was to do the weekly shopping and when I got back I had to laugh as there was no fruit, potatoes or cleaning products but there were 4 types of cheese and plenty of beer and wine....

Another weekend dominated by the garden and Adrian is now in the final preparations for laying the turf so it's starting to really come together. He also finished building my veggie garden so the boys and I had a great time planting all the veggies. Jack in particular loved "putting them into their bed and snuggling them in", he was so excited the next morning to check them and said "they drank all their water mummy, but they're still sleeping, when they wake up there'll be lots of food on them".

Adrian managed a trip to the park in the heat with the boys on Sunday morning and a visit to Jeremy, Anna and Libby in the evening but we we're all hot and exhausted tonight!

Cute story for the week: we were playing a nursery rhymes CD in the car and Tom and Jack were singing along in the back, Tom was very pleased with himself and said "I know the words to all these songs daddy".

CONGRATULATIONS MICKY AND TORI....NOW MR AND MRS JAMIESON!
Yes it's true, Micky and Tori snuck off and got hitched this weekend and we send you all our love and best wishes XX

Happy non-birthday to us........ Olga decided mid-week that we should have a non-birthday party. This is celebrating that today it's not your birthday and neither is tomorrow so let's have a party to celebrate. She came home with balloons, cake and kinder eggs and we had a great time, especially the boys with all that lovely chocolate!

Earlier in the week I had a call to collect Tom from creche as he'd bitten right through his tongue after a fall from a ladder, it was all bloody and looked terrible but by the time we got to the doctor he was in good spirits again. The nurse said to him "now you are....Thomas", and he said "NO! I'm not Thomas, I'm Spiderman" - explains the fall from the ladder I think.

This weekend was another busy one, Saturday we headed to the beach at Lyall Bay for some sun, sea and surf. The waves were huge and really powerful so we had a good dip, made sandcastles and watched the tourists being rescued by the lifesavers.

Sunday was yet another festival in Wellington, this one was for the Chinese New Year so we headed into the incredibly hot day to check out the festivities. The parade was great and the boys loved (and were also a bit frightened of) the dragons and all the banging and fireworks. It was so hot that we just had to head into a bar for a lovely cold beer for us and icecream for the boys, magic!

We also joined the rest of the world this week and brought a big widescreeen TV from a friend at work - Adrian has been playing with it ever since.

Cute story for the week, Jack was looking at Adrian's guitar this week and told me that there are lots of songs inside but only Micky knows how to get them out (he's right too!).
