4 weeks till Xmas everyone....

We had a great week and weekend with lists of jobs to do but accomplshing very few of them as usual. I had my turn working at the toy library on Saturday morning while Daddy took the boys food shopping. In the afternoon we filled the sandpit with fresh sand for the year which was a huge hit with the boys (and us as we got the sand free this year from the extra that creche had after filling theirs) so all the boys happily played with the diggers and buckets for hours on Saturday afternoon.

We managed a nice night out with friends on Saturday night and had a new babysitter, we went to get ready and when we came out the boys were snuggled into her while she read a story and Tom turned to her and said "I like you Adele" so no problems there!

Sunday morning Adrian took the boys to the park and I had a little lie-in (bliss), the photos are of the boys in the maze which they had great fun running around getting lost in. I then attempted some Xmas shopping with the boys while Adrian finished preparing the walls in the bathroom, let's just say I don't think I'll be taking them Xmas shopping again.... We had lots of visitors in the afternoon and we were all exhausted by bedtime!

Cute story for the week, I had to take Jack to the Dr this week and after his visit to daddy in hospital last week, he asked if he could have a special bed and a lady (nurse) like daddy and Tom could come and visit him!

I hope that was the last of the big storms this week cos it was a doozzie!

Friday and Saturday of this week was terrential rain and wind and general miserableness. We found a bad leak in our back room (the boys playroom) and so are waiting for the insurance company to come and have a look but hopefully we can get the carpet replaced which is the only major damage. We headed off on Saturday morning for a drive to Macra beach to look at the farm animals along the way but all we saw was major flooding with lots of worried looking farmers moving their stock and houses with water lapping at their doors and it made our leak seem pathetic in comparison, the boys loved daddy driving through the big puddles (and some of them were rivers) over the road and then we had a picnic huddled in the back of the car at the beach.

Sunday arrived and so did summer - finally it was hot and sunny and gorgeous and a friend was having a birthday bbq so it was sunhats and suncream at last and we had a lovely afternoon in the sun.

Earlier this week Adrian brought the boys some small Toy Story figues which they loved and there is a girl cowboy called Jessie, Thomas was mimicking her "Yeahaa" and generally throwing her about but Jack was telling us that "she's a girl" and making her and the Woody toy kiss! .... who'll be the romantic one of the two of them do you think?

Counting down to visitors arriving now and we can't wait!!!!

OK a girl can dream can't she... this week was dominated by Adrian's visit to have his "reconstructive" surgery...

the final outcome is this...

I mean this, still a bit swollen but looks good to me!

I mangaged to get a horrible flu earlier in the week but was feeling a lot better by the weekend when I took the boys out to the gardens on Saturday on a mission to find the park we had heard about in the middle of the gardens but never managed to find it, how on earth had we missed this place.... it was great and we had loads of fun followed by a picnic and feeding the ducks - lovely.

The boys friend Ben had a little brother Jacob this week and we went to see him at the hospital the night before we went to see Adrian at his hospital, on the way home Jack wanted to know if daddy would be brining his baby home ...scary thought!

Have a great week all :)
