Adrian is completely asleep in the chair next to me as I type this, he’s had an exhausting week working on the Foo Fighters, he re-designed the lighting for the show then spent all week getting it set up for a one night only show that was all over in the early hours of Saturday morning so we didn’t see much of him until Saturday afternoon. The show went brilliantly on all accounts, in no small part thanks to some pretty amazing lighting (see picutres).

We’ve had a busy weekend now the Xmas season has kicked in with a street party on Saturday afternoon which was brilliant, one of our neighbours hosted the whole street to a bbq and we got to meet all the neighbours we nod hello to, but didn’t really know and even though it was pouring with rain a lot turned up and were all so lovely that we can’t imagine wanting to move now! We then went to a friend’s birthday party and Uncle Chris and Aunty Sue babysat the boys so it was a very social weekend for us. Today we had a nice relaxing day with the boys going for a walk in between the rain showers.

The boys have had a great week as usual, Jack unfortunately is getting a full set of eye teeth at the moment so is pretty sore but once they’re in he’ll be nearly up to a full set of teeth thank goodness. Tom has been working on a funny walk, he holds his arms up at funny angles and does a hilarious slow motion walk lifting his legs as high as he can, I’m sure only does it to make us laugh hysterically.

Well that’s all for this week Adrian’s made us a cheesecake for desert so no more time for typing!

Sad to say we didn’t manage to get our lovely house (aaahhh). We don’t feel too bad though as there were 8 tenders all similar prices to ours and then one that was 40K over the rest so obviously they were meant to have it. We’ll keep looking but it’s hard to imagine another house will measure up to that one.

Well tonight the boys are in bed early and we are nodding off over our dinner as it’s been such a busy week. Adrian has been flat out working on a fashion show which has meant we haven’t seen much of him over the last few days and he’s worked an enormous amount of hours on not much sleep but today we managed to all get out to the Christmas parade which was brilliant. The boys are just old enough to get really excited about it and pointed, clapped and danced along through the whole parade, they didn’t know who Santa was and why the older children were so excited but loved the banana’s in pajamas and the giant teddy’s and animals. Tom managed to spill a whole bottle of water on his pants so danced around in his nappy for most of the time but it was a hot sunny day so no-one cared.

The boys have had another busy week both learning lots of new words, they have started telling me when they have “poo” which is helpful but now it means we have to put nappies on their teddys and I spend hours having to change teddy’s nappy because he has “poo” (as if I didn’t have enough nappies to change!).

The boys favourite things for this week have been learning how to wake daddy up by running into the bedroom and shouting “daddy, daddy”, learning how to get onto the couch by themselves, Noddy (which they say “nonny”), and getting to play outside everyday now the weather is nice, especially playing in either the sand-pit or with water.

Good to see we’ve started a trend and so many of you have joined the blogging phenomenon! I’ve added links below to the Arnolds, Hammonds and Sealy’s sites for those of you who haven’t seen them, by the way Jude I am happy to swap Thomas for a night if I can have a lie in, and you can make me one of them snazzy looking scone things (you’re amazing!).

Busy week as usual for us, we are crossing all extremities that we get the house but will finally know for sure this Tuesday. Just in case we do, we’ve been going crazy with our place this weekend have managed to paint our bedroom (the paints been downstairs for over a year, I don’t know what happened at that time that time to put a hold on things!). Adrian painted another side of the house so we feel we’re really getting somewhere - which is lucky as if we do get the new house we’ll only have a few days before we are inundated with strangers who nose in our cupboards and are unnaturally interested in the size of your toilet seat and the bits of food burnt onto the bottom of the oven.

Thomas gave us some excitement this week when he was stung by a bee. It was early in the morning and in the middle of lounge so not really where you would expect to find a bumble bee but obviously it had been stalking him. My family are notoriously allergic to bee stings so we had to rush him to the doctor with his little swollen hand but we can now officially tell you he is not allergic so now we’re just waiting till Jack has a go. Both boys have had a great week and are just getting more hilarious every day. Adrian taught the boys to “high five” recently which they do to everyone and now they have learnt to do it to each other which they find hilarious. They are starting to really play together lately and will giggle hysterically at some shared joke that neither mum or dad can understand.

Adrian has had another busy week at work doing the wine awards, he’s getting ready for a fashion show this week but I told them he didn’t have the figure for it really….my work is going well and I will soon have someone to temporarily take over my old job so I can do one instead of two which will be brilliant.

Have a good week all and stay tuned on Wednesday when we will post a special “Did they get that bloody house or not” story.

Well I think house updates first would be useful….we decided that we are not going to buy the re-locatable house so we are keeping our eyes open for the perfect house for us while we get ours ready for a possible sale. We have fallen in love with a beautiful house not far from where we live now but we’ll have to wait to see whether we are in with a chance at getting it (pictures right).

Adrian and I had our first night out in a long time this weekend, we went out on a proper date. Our lovely new neighbours offered to baby-sit on Friday night so we jumped at the chance for a night on the town. We went to the fabulous Long Bar (Malaysian Restaurant) which is delicious, then moved on into town for a few drinks and lots of laughs but tried hard not to talk about the boys too much. It was a lovely night and well worth the slight hangover when the boys woke us up at 6:00am on Saturday morning.

The boys have had a great week, Thomas is motoring away with new words and this week has mastered “please”. Jack is recovering well but is still having terrible bouts of weazing which is horrible. I taught them how to hold hands when we walk up to the car and into crèche for safety but they now like to hold hands all the time when they are walking around and it’s very cute. One will stop and call “hands” and the other has to coming running over to hold their hand and off they go. Their favourite new game is playing “row row your boat” where they sit on the floor facing each other holding hands and rock back and forwards while mummy sings (badly!) and get very excited about it and giggle so much that they can’t do it properly. We also went shopping this weekend and let the boys choose their new sandals now the weather is getting warmer. The only problem now is getting them off them and to convince them that they can’t wear them to bed!
