Get a glass of wine for this one, it's a couple of weeks worth sorry we've had a few computer problems in the last few weeks, we've discovered wireless is more like useless! We've had a great few weeks with lots of fun and really busy. Also make sure you check out the newsflash at the bottom....

My cousin Keryn was over from Sydney with her husband and baby "Ginger" who celebrated her 1st birthday last week. The boys had a great time at her party and it did make me laugh that they were as usual the last to leave the table but there was too much even for them!! Poor Ginger however was really ill and managed to throw up all over her mother before even trying the party food.

The following weekend we headed off to Martinborough for a family wekend with Jeremy, Anna, my cousin and all associated family. The boys were so excited to be going to a "motel" for the night especially as "Alex" their new best buddie was there. We headed off on Saturday and Jeremy had organised a lovely surprise for all the ladies to go to a day spa and have pedicures or manicures and even my Great Aunty Joan who is in her 90's had a facial!

We had a family bbq that evening with a few wines and beers with assorted children running around at sunset having a great time and then all got up early to watch the rugby......yeah....we don't talk about it in our house anymore...we had our Saturday movie night in the hotel which was Charlotte's Web *******/10 and spent Sunday in the Wairarapa at various attractions and cafes.

The following weekend started with a work do for me on Friday night and when Jack came for a cuddle the next morning I was really sleepy, "sorry Jack mummy's tired today" I said, Jack gave me a cuddle and then said "Daddy, can you make mummy a cup of tea please"...ahhh bless him.
Adrian worked most of Saturday before our movie night "Thumalina" ******/10 and we did a load of gardening including Adrian making this seat for the boys which has since been taken over by Monty.
This last weekend was our first long weekend in ages and it was brilliantly sunny and gorgeous. Saturday we had a visit to Uncle Chris and Auny Sue before some gardening and a visit to the park. Our Sat movie night was "Ant Bully" ********/10.

Sunday morning we headed to a girlfriends house to watch the rugby....don't talk about it again...... before heading to the Diwali festival (Indian festival of light) for the afternoon which the boys loved especially the music and dancing. We finished the afternoon with beer and icecream in the sun.....bliss..................

Monday we headed off to Staglands with some friends and their little boy Alex who the boys adore so it was great fun.

Few cute moments from the last few weeks of many good laughs...

Jack was helping me put the shopping away this week and couldn't sit still and was jiggling up and down, I asked him to go to the toilet and he said "no mum, I've just got some dancing in me".

Tom was blowing his nose, and the tissue broke in half. "Tom can you wash your hands and put both of them in the rubbish" I asked. Tom smiled and said "put both my hands in the rubbish?"....bit too clever that one!

Tom was asked recently what his name was and he replied "Thomas O'Mally Spiderman", I can't remember putting that on the birth certificate!

The boys are really into pretending to be mummy and daddy and one night they pretended to read us a story and put us into bed. We got into bed dutifully and were tucked in and then Tom dissapeared. We found him in lounging on the counch after turning the TV on and when asked him what he was doing he said, "I'm daddy, this is what daddy does"....spot on sunshine!

NEWSFLASH...... Adrian has resigned from his job this week, all amicable but time for a change so he'll now be working for himself (me and the boys really!) , we're setting up a company this week so I'll give you the details once I finish.

It was a very exciting week last week with Friday being a very special day. Adrian and I took the day off to take the boys to a big surprise after they were so good and filled their sticker charts to bursting ....... they knew there was going to be a surprise but nothing else...

We collected them from creche at 9:30am (after we had a sneaky breakfast at Fidel's - bliss!) and then parked in town. As we walked to the Opera House they noticed lots of excited children but didn't know what was happening. We went into the theatre sat down and they started noticing lots of children dressed up ..... lights down, curtains opens then both boys with huge eyes because it was the Wiggles show "Dorothy the Dinosaur's Dance Party"!! they loved it and danced and clapped and had a wonderful time, Jack was so excited he could hardly even talk.

It turned out to be a very theatrical week because we were also given tickets to "Sleeping Beauty" which was a childrens pantomime version and was absolutely hysterical, Adrian and I laughed more than anyone I think, especially at the "Hairy Scary Fairy". When we left the boys wanted to have their picture taken with the pink fairy who was fascinated with Tom's "fairy hair". On the way home they both said they wanted to be pink fairies and Adrian did really well at biting his tongue and not saying a word!!
Big weekend coming up so will have lots of news coming up........
