Autumn leaves are brown.....and the sky is bright and sunny!

We've had a wonderful weeks holiday "down south" last week. We boarded the plane on Saturday to fly to Christchurch and the boys were very lucky as the pilots invited them to look at the cockpit and I got to go with them of course to make sure they didn't push any buttons so double bonus for me as I've always wanted to have a look myself.

We stayed with Liz and Austin for a few days which was lovely. We had fantastic weather which meant we got out and about with the boys and as it was Liz's birthday we also managed a few wines to celebrate. Their very clever friend Ken also took the boys for a ride on his new invention with his daughter Bridget...check this out it's brilliant!

Later that week we drove across the mountains through Arthur's Pass to Hokitika where we stayed with my cousin Fiona, Tim, Jordan and Kade. We had a fantastic time on the coast despite the rain and Adrian got to go hunting with Tim which he was really looking forward to and they tell me he's a bloody good shot.

Yes we can can-can...

Our drive over the mountains back to Christchurch was beautiful as there had been a good dumping of snow since our drive over and it was beautiful all those lovely mountain roads it was stunning. We even got a visit from the Kea's trying to eat anything they could including the car.

Chilling out with Uncle Austin.

Adrian tying his first Possum Pie - he tells me it's really nice.

Boys with their cousin Jordan...aaahhh
The great white hunter ..........

I know you'll hate your photo on here Liz but the boys insisted :)

Plastic mountains are so much harder to climb!

"Jack do my ears look big in this".....

Thanks so much to everyone for looking after us so wonderfully we loved every minute of it :)
