A lot of excitement in our household over the last week, and man is it HOT!

We had a great surprise visit last week from my father and two brothers from Australia, we had a fab time and far, far, too much to drink but it was really great to catch up and Michael has promised another visit so I'm putting this in writing so he remembers! The boys loved having everyone around, especially two extra uncles to wrap around their little fingers.

Meanwhile Adrian was in Taupo on his boys (actually more like middle aged dad's who need to get away) weekend. He can now hardly move his arms after spending all his time waterskiing, diving, donuting, swimming and snorkling. I'm sure they might have had a few beers as well :)

Another momentous occassion this week with Tom agreeing to have his gorgeous curls cut off. He had a moment of being upset about it but I was trying to sound very confident while trying not to cry having to cut all those lovely soft curls off but he really needed it. He looks so much older now and Adrian and I keep having to double take to make sure it's really him.

This weekend was a long Waitangi weekend so Friday we spent at the cultural festivities in Waitangi Park and then Saturday we headed into the heat of the city for the Fringe Festival build up and "Plops" show (that's really what they were called, the boys loved it). Sunday was the Chinese New Year Parade and it was incredibly hot so we didn't last long in the heat before heading home to cool off.
