Sorry for the delay I've been away this week when my lovely Aunty Sandie died suddenly at the age of 42 in Invercargill. I'll put more details in next week but for now here's the blog I was posting before I left.
It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas....
The first of the Xmas parties last week with the Multiple Birth Groups party. The boys were really excited and had a great time, this year was dress up theme so it was actually spiderman and batman who arrived and had a great time watching the bubble man show before Santa arrived in a fire engine. Tori you will remember coming to the one last year (I can confirm that there was no "fireman Steve" this year!). After we had all settled down we did get a fireman asking us to check all the childrens pockets as they'd lost their keys.....it wasn't our boys for a change!
We also put the Xmas tree up this week and you can tell from the photos that there was a large concentration of decorations at the bottom of the tree and I put all the breakable ones at the top so it looks a bit bottom heavy!
I also made the boys an advent calendar (there was meant to be 2 but one will have to come next year....too much work). I've found it to be excellent bribery each day!!
Cute stories for the week:
This week our friend Linda who is Jewish went to the boys creche to talk about Hanaka. She told the whole story to a room of children all listening intently. When she'd finished Tom put up his hand and said "can I ask a question Linda", yes she said. Tom replied "did you know I can smile really big" .... ohhhh of course excellent question Tom!
Tom also made me laugh this week when we were talking about how father Christmas came down the chimney etc. He thought about this for a while and then said "why doesn't he just come in the door?".....good point!
